Finally a program that will help the future of my diabetes. The presenters are very explicit and encouraging during the presentations. I hope that there will be more educational materials and actual workshops in the future, so that I (and we) will be able to be successful in the management of the disease.

I really appreciate this course because it helped me identify in the symptoms and the difficulties I have experienced with diabetes. I appreciate hearing from other people who have similar experiences, like relating to and communicating with doctors. It helped me feel I'm not one isolated case.

I appreciate the instructors who listened and were not condescending. They put my words into context and made me feel they really cared.

Class support is important and the trust that people can share their personal lives/challenges. It can motivate you in all areas (of your life), not just chronic disease.

I have always known about exercising, healthy eating, and medication. I wasn't sure how to incorporate them into my life. This class has made a big difference, and I plan to keep these activities as part of the rest of my life.

Meeting in this group has encouraged me to keep aware of what I need to do to keep my diabetes in control. Hearing what others are experiencing is informative. Please find friends to help keep this program available.
